EMDR Trained Therapist
You deserve a space where you can slow down, feel safe, and be met with compassion and genuineness. Here, you can explore what has been difficult at a pace that feels right for you.
I support women using approaches that are grounded in research, including somatic and EMDR therapy, to help them process experiences and foster deeper healing.
Rather than staying at the surface, we will work at the root of what you are experiencing, allowing it to be processed more fully. As you move through this process, you may start to feel more like yourself again, calmer, clearer, and more emotionally steady, so that daily life feels more manageable and less overwhelming.
I support women navigating:
Anxiety & Stress
Depression
Trauma
Grief
Low Self-Esteem
Relationship Challenges
Guilt & Shame
Substance Use
Life Transitions
Personal Development
Counselling Approaches
-
Attachment-based therapy focuses on understanding how early relationships and attachments shape emotional patterns, behavior, and connection styles in adulthood. By exploring your attachment history, we can uncover any patterns that may impact your relationships and personal well-being. This approach helps clients develop healthier, more secure connections by identifying and healing attachment wounds, improving emotional regulation, and fostering a deeper sense of trust and safety. In our work together, I will support you in recognizing these patterns and empower you to build stronger, more fulfilling relationships by cultivating emotional awareness and healing old wounds.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) helps people process and make sense of difficult or distressing experiences. Sometimes memories can feel “stuck” and continue to trigger strong emotions, thoughts, or physical reactions long after the event has passed.
EMDR uses guided bilateral stimulation, such as eye movements, a gentle sound that alternates between ears, or light tapping to support the brain’s natural ability to reprocess these memories. Over time, this can reduce their emotional intensity and help you feel more grounded and present.
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a therapeutic approach that helps you connect with the different parts of yourself and access your inner guidance: your wise, compassionate core. We all have parts of us that can feel conflicted or stuck, like inner critics or unresolved emotions. IFS helps you understand these parts as protective responses that developed to help you cope.
In our sessions, I’ll guide you to connect with these parts and, more importantly, to tune into your Self: the grounded, compassionate center within you. From this place of inner wisdom, you can heal and bring balance to the parts of you that need attention. By strengthening your inner guidance, you can navigate challenges with more clarity, peace, and self-compassion.

Mindfulness helps you slow things down and tune into what's happening in the present moment. Instead of getting swept away by stress, anxiety, or overwhelming emotions, you'll learn ways to notice your experiences with greater awareness and compassion.
Using mindfulness-based approaches, I'll help you develop practical skills for managing stress, navigating difficult emotions, and breaking out of unhelpful thought patterns. Over time, many people find they feel calmer, more grounded, and better able to handle life's ups and downs.

I often use somatic therapy, a body-based approach to healing that helps you gently reconnect with your physical sensations and emotions. Our bodies can carry the effects of stress, trauma, and difficult experiences long after they've happened. Rather than diving straight into painful memories, somatic therapy focuses on tuning into the body in the present moment, helping you stay within your window of tolerance where healing can happen safely and effectively.
We might use simple practices like breathwork, mindfulness, grounding techniques, or body awareness exercises to help you notice and work with the sensations in your body. As you build awareness of your nervous system, you may begin to feel more grounded, less reactive to stress, and better able to understand and navigate your emotions.
Many people find that somatic therapy helps them feel calmer, more connected to themselves, and more present in their daily lives. It can support emotional regulation, strengthen self-trust, improve boundaries, and create a greater sense of safety and connection within yourself.
My counselling is grounded in approaches that are well-researched and known to support healing and change. These are used in a thoughtful and flexible way, based on your needs and what feels right for you. Click below to learn more about each approach.
